Welcome Cocktail

A welcome cocktail will be held on Sunday evening at the venue, most probably in the outdoor garden, as an occasion for all participants to meet and interact with each other.

Social Dinner

Tuesday, June 14th 2022, 07.15 pm

A buffet dinner that will be held at the Stadium of Domitian, the only example of masonry stadium known outside Greek World, that was made in travertine blocks and brickwork.

During the dinner, participants will be able to visit the location thanks to panels with in-depth descriptions of the place, the architecture, and the history of the time it was built and of the Roman Empire.

Cultural Tours

Roman Theatres

Monday, June 13th 2022, 07.00 pm

Itinerary to the discovery of the theatres in ancient Rome, visiting the three major theatres that made the tradition of Latin comedy famous in the first-century b.C.

Starting from the Teatro Marcello, we will admire the remains of the original entry and the surviving arches, crossing then the “Obscure Shops” of the ancient Teatro Balbo. Through the area of Largo Argentina and the Fora, which were the site of the assassination of Julius Caesar, we will walk through the narrow streets of Campo de’ Fiori square, ending in the ancient auditorium of the Teatro Pompeo, the first permanent theatre in Rome, built in 55 b.C., where we will consume a typical Roman dinner inside its caves and ancient foundations in the Restaurant “Da Pancrazio”.

Walk and Dinner in the Jewish Ghetto of Rome

Wednesday, June 15th 2022, 07.30 pm

An accompanied walk from Castel Sant’Angelo, way through Via dei Banchi Vecchi, Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Farnese and Piazzetta Mattei with explanation of the city. This tour will offer the opportunity to visit the Jewish Ghetto with its complex variety of history, architecture and tradition, ending with a typical dinner. The Jewish Ghetto is one of the most fascinating areas of Rome, one with the highest number of examples of Roman and Medieval architecture – out of the very few – that still stand in Rome.
